Most people think that their opinion is valid and that because it is an "opinion" they shouldn't have to validate it. The problem with this is that people now feel free to believe whatever they like without any bearing on reality.
Ladies and gentlemen: Just because something sounds good and makes you feel good does not mean that it is right, or even real.
If you can not validate your opinion, then it is immature to think anyone else should respect it.
