Throughout this renewed endevour you will no doubt see many references to the use of logic, or as I prefer to state: Pure Logic. I have not bowed to the humanistic plague we mistakenly call science, but rather have come to the carefully regarded conclusion that truth is after all not such a difficult value to discern. In fact, Truth is more often than not pretty darned easy to spot. One need only to look at the issues in an organized and unbiased manner.

The problem is, however, in how we weild logic. I could write a disertation on logic and still not tell you anything about the quality that you couldn't have learned from a dictionary. Since we can not easily define the concept in concrete terms, we must then use logic to discover logic. A Koan for Zen masters for sure!

First, let us discuss what Logic is not. Logic is not a tool to be used to win arguements, nor does Logic draw conclusions based upon emotional responses, whether desired or expressed. Logic is not used to prove any predetermined answer. To do so would be analogous with declaring that E=MC2, and then designing a formula to fit the expression.

Also then, we must address the problem of Logic's misuse. This is a harsh universe we live in and things seldom turn out the way we want them to, so then if we use Logic to an end that paints a pretty picture we must question whether or not we have misemployed said device (for indeed any tool is a device and what is Logic but a tool of the mind?) and if we nothing but gain from Logic's response, then we have no doubt misused logic in one of the aforementioned ways. At very least, we should suspect ourselves.

Quite simply, Logic is little more than a process by which we draw conclusions from known facts in which the conclusion fits most closely not with our desires or preconceptions, but with reality, which is to say: Truth.

This leads to the issue of the reliability of our data. In order to properly employ Logic, we must take extreme caution against arming our tool with facts that are, ipso facto, not.

Your word is: Brooding. You are a true thinker and
often try to figure out the meaning of life,
why we are all here etc. You may not be so
social, and often think twice before acting
but those thoughts you have in your mind
never stop flowing in. Sometimes you can be
so concentrated you forget about other things
that you have to do. Don't change, this world
needs deep people.
