I told her that I would not call or write until she had initiated contact because I did not want to be guilty of badgering her. I left it to her to set the pace for our venture into friendship, and hopefully more.
But now I am going through a depression phase that is so bad it is breaking through the medication. I feel lost and alone and there is only one person I want to turn to, only one shoulder I want to cry into, only one voice I want to hear tell me that everything will be alright and that this too shall soon pass.
I couldn't be there for her, and that is why she is not here for me now. And that realization has only fed the fires of this stupid depression.
